OUR STORY
More than a club.
We are a family.
OUR HISTORY
Born from a
championship moment
The spark was ignited on 5 May 2025, following the remarkable success of Lighthouse Christian College at the CSEN Soccer Championships — a statewide competition for Christian schools. In the College's first appearance, the junior girls team claimed the championship, and the boys reached the quarter finals.
Inspired by what was possible, teachers Mr. Norng and Mr. Buck began to dream of something bigger — a club that would extend footballing opportunities for their students and open the doors to the wider community.
Supported by Lighthouse Family Christian Church, the club was formally accepted into the Victorian Churches Football League (VCFA) on 26 November 2025. Lighthouse FC fielded its inaugural Under 16s and Under 12s teams in 2026 — the beginning of something that will grow for generations.

OUR PURPOSE
Why we exist
We exist to promote the vision of Lighthouse Family Christian Church and Lighthouse Christian College:
OUR MISSION
Through football we empower
- Participation in community sport
- Growth in faith with Jesus Christ
- Development in character and courage
- Building meaningful relationships
- Thriving passion through the world game
- Founded in late 2025 by the passionate volunteers, sponsorship and support of Lighthouse Family Christian Church, with the mission to impact our community towards Christ through football.
- The name 'Lighthouse' ties us to our joint community in the 'Lighthouse Family'.
- Symbolising the standing together of our family: those of many nations and across all generations.
- Representing Christ as the centre of our club and his authority to empower his people, by the Holy Spirit, to transform lives and disciple them into their God-given purpose.
- Representing the vehicle used to enact our mission, through football we bring together those with a passion to play or support the development of the world game in our community.
- The three pioneers of LFC. The large star symbolising Sorn Norng as the HEART of the club, inspiring the club's inception and acting as the first secretary and lead coach. The smaller stars representing Jeremy Fernando as the first chairman and visionary, and Mitchell Buck as the first treasurer and club manager.

OUR LEAGUE
Competing in the
Victorian Churches
Football Association
The Victorian Churches Football Association (VCFA) is a faith-based football association uniting churches across Victoria through the world game. They run junior, women's and men's competitions, providing a values-aligned environment where football and community go hand in hand.
Lighthouse FC entered the VCFA in 2026. The competition gives our players a stage to develop their skills against other church-affiliated clubs while staying grounded in the values we share.
